Jill Goldson
MA (Hons), CQSW, Mediator (Resolution Institute fellow), AMINZ, NZAC & Founder of The Goldson Model
As Director of The Family Matters Centre Jill Goldson specialises in researching and working with the family in transition, during and after separation. She has lobbied tirelessly for the inclusion of children in early family dispute intervention and this has now been realised in the provision for families and children in The Family Court (Supporting Children in Court) Legislation Act 2021. This work has been acknowledged by government and industry, and is reflected in her writing and training.
Previously a senior lecturer in counselling and social work, Jill Goldson runs professional training seminars for colleagues in the field. She has received scholarships and awards to advance her work. In 2008 she was made a Churchill Fellow and granted funds to undertake research in the UK on child inclusive practice following separation. Publications, awards and funding details are available on this website.
